On April 13, 2023, a meeting of the EUNICE Start Cup competition committee was held::

The committee assessed 15 competition applications submitted by PUT students and PhD students in the first phase of the EUNICE Start Cup competition (March 25-31). On the basis of the scores awarded by the committee members to the applications, a ranking list was created and 6 best-rated competition applications were selected for the second phase of EUNICE Start Cup.
The topics of start-up ideas submitted in the first phase of the competition were diverse and referred to many current problems, including cybersecurity, saving energy or food, healthy lifestyle, facilitating everyday life thanks to various types of applications. Participants of the competition showed great creativity and maturity of the proposed solutions.
The teams participating in the competition consisted of 1 to 5 members; in total 43 students took part in the competition (30 from the first-cycle studies, 9 from the second-cycle studies, 4 from the third-cycle Doctoral School). The Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications (WIiT, 22 students), the Faculty of Engineering Management (WIZ, 11 students) and the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering (WILiT, 5 students) were the most represented.
